Framing a Shot

When filming there is a variety of framing options to line up a subject, whether it be an over the shoulder interview style or direct to camera (down the barrel). These basic shots can be used to capture action, details and emotions to connect with the viewer. Having a variety of shots also makes the footage more appealing and aids to keep the attention of the audience. Consideration must be given to the size of the delivery device, as a wide shot delivered to an iPhone would not have the same impact as a head & shoulder shot.
